Anti-rolling tanks

Flume tanks, also known as anti-rolling tanks, are stabilization systems used to reduce ship’s rolling motion. It consists of a tank partially filled with water, allowing the liquid to move freely and counteract the ship’s rolling.

Our design projects have included the entire process, starting from the tank concept phase, where we arrange the tanks on the vessel and proceeding to detailed tank design, which includes the piping and supporting structures. We also perform the necessary strength calculations to verify the tanks and their supporting to the vessel.

The documentation we provide includes comprehensive drawings for the tank concept, classification steel drawings, as well as workshop and installation drawings. Additionally, we deliver a detailed FEM report to validate the design’s structural integrity.
