Monopile seafastening and ship structure changes
In some cases, the ship’s structure needs strengthening to ensure the durability of the ship during transport.
Gemini monopile sea fastening project is a good example of our comprehensive services to support our customers with demanding project cargo. In this project support structures and necessary changes to the ship’s structure were designed for the sea transport of heavy monopiles. The sea fastening design included everything from concept to production drawings and installation instructions. In total over 80 piles were transported, each pile weighing between 600 and 900 tons.
