Seafastening for drum reel
Seafastening design project for transportation of a large 32m diameter reel.
The project included design, analysis and documentation for sea-fastening elements needed as well as strength analysis of the vessel deck. Summary report outlining the seafastening concept, respective seagoing forces and structural analyses was created and used as a part of the cargo’s transportation manual.
The reel was transported with Meriaura Oy’s open deck carrier Aura safely to its destination.
