Waterpark staircases Icon of the Seas

One of the striking features of the Icon of the Seas is its extensive water park, the largest at sea. Located at the upper deck at the aft of the ship, this area includes a variety of water slides. To embark on these rides, guests must first ascend several levels of spiral staircases.

Our design project for the stairs included a staircase mockup and comprehensive design work for the aft and forward stair towers, as well as the entrance portal to the waterpark. The stair design included cladding, railings and glazing for the top platform. The supporting structure was integrated into the ship structure, and necessary strength analyses were conducted to ensure structural integrity.

This project is a great example of a start-to-finish project where our team was involved in every stage, from initial concept to final implementation.
